Directions
Closing Out Your PEP
1. Click on Show Tier I Students
2. Click on the student whose review you would like to work with.
3. Click on Add Tier I Review
4. Put in Intervention Details.
a. Parent contact date is the date you plan to send home the document.
5. Under “Area of Concern Probes”
a. “Effectives” – using the drop down box beside each intervention, select the level of effectiveness. To close out your PEP the level should be at least 75%.
b. “Modification” - using the drop down box, select how often you use the strategy
c. “Decision” – to close out the PEP you will need to select discontinue
d. “Modification(s) to Intervention” – State why you feel the interventions can be discontinued.
e. “Date of Next Meeting” – leave blank
f. “Decision” – select discontinue Tier I
g. Meeting notes- record why the strategy is being discontinued.
6. Save and print
7. Send home a letter to parents. See PEP Review Parent Letter. You may use a letter that you have created.
Continuing PEP (Including discontinuing some strategies and continuing others)
1. Click on Show Tier I Students
2. Click on the student whose review you would like to work with
3. Click on Add Tier I Review
4. Put in Intervention Details.
a. Parent contact date is the date you plan to send home the document.
5. Under “Area of Concern Probes”
a. “Effectives” – using the drop down box beside each intervention, select the level of effectiveness.
b. “Modification” - using the drop down box and select if you would like to increase frequency or select Create new intervention if you would like to discontinue the strategy and use another strategy in its place. You may also select none for those strategies you would like to end without putting a new strategy in its place.
c. Decision – select discontinue beside those strategies you would like to end and continue beside those you would like to continue.
d. “Modification(s) to Intervention” – list the frequency changes of the old strategies you will continue to use.
e. “Date of Next Meeting” – write date of review (Should be in about 9 weeks)
f. Decision – select continue Tier I
g. “Meeting notes”- state why you feel the interventions can be discontinued or continued. Include that you are creating a new intervention on the Intervention Sheet.
6. Save and print
7. Send home a letter to parents. See PEP Review Parent Letter.
If one subject area is continued and one strategy is discontinued
Follow the same steps as CONTINUING PEP. In the meeting note indicate that the PEP is being discontinued for one subject area.
